Hathaway was Seigneur of the Channel Islands when the Germans invaded (1940-1945). Based on Jerrard Tickell's 1951 novel, about British soldiers during WWII on the Channel Islands, attempting to save a prized cow from the capture of the Nazis. 8 x 10 inches. One script, a Final Draft, belonging to an auditioning actor, Jenny Sullivan, with her name in manuscript ink on the front wrapper; the other script is bound in red faux leather with gilt tiles, a color photograph of a human fetus bound in, and both scripts bear letters from a professor at the University of California describing the possible methods and techniques detailed in the screenplay, and their applicability to contemporary (1974) ethical and legal conditions. Brief annotations on laid-in slips in manuscript ink throughout the first script. Laid in is a signed letter from director Nelson to Jenny, informing her that she is a finalist for the role of Victoria (ultimatly the role went to Barbara Carrera). An exploitation film owing much to "Bride of Frankenstein," as well as the technological advances with DNA in the 1970s. Dr. Paul Holliston (Hudson) is a scientist who discovers a method to accelerate the birth cycle to just a few days. Following the success of the James Bond series of the 60s, studios resurrected the Bulldog Drummond character, this being the second of the revamp after 1967's "Deadlier Than the Male." Drummond uncovers a plot where a criminal mastermind, aided by robots in form of beautiful women, will receive eight million pounds if an experimental plan doesn't launch on time. Set in Spain and London, shot on location in Catalonia, Spain and at Pinewood Studios in London. Orange blank wrappers with die cut title window in the British style. Vintage 45 RPM vinyl record of two radio spot announcements for the 1975 film. A satirical crime film written and directed by legendary, controversial animator Ralph Bakshi, blending live action and animation, about three anthropomorphic "Uncle Remus" characters-Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Fox, and Br'er Bear-who rise to the top of a crime syndicate in Harlem. Originally subjected to widespread protest due to its provocative racial content, and subsequently given a limited release by Bryanston, the film has since been reevaluated and is today considered Bakshi's masterpiece. 7 inches.
