Piccoli segni d'uso alle cerniere (una debomente legata), peraltro bell'esemplare, fresco, marginoso e stampato su carta forte. Bell'edizione in cui vengono raccolti gli scritti del pittore boemo e che rappresentano la migliore spiegazione della sua opera. Ad esempio l'ammirazione verso Raffaello ed il Correggio al cui primo Mengs dava il primato per il disegno e l'espressione ed al secondo per la grazia e per il chiaroscuro.
