Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This fascinating book explores the discovery of 'N rays', a new type of radiation initially believed to be akin to X-rays. However, the author's experiments revealed these rays had unique properties, distinct from both X-rays and the larger wave-length radiations discovered by Rubens. The author's thorough investigations unveiled N rays' ability to traverse various substances opaque to other radiations and to be emitted by diverse sources, including the sun, incandescent bodies, and even objects under compression. Furthermore, the book delves into the surprising action of N rays on living organisms, increasing the glow of phosphorescent bodies and strengthening the effect of light on the eye. This groundbreaking work not only broadens our understanding of the electromagnetic spectrum but also opens up new avenues of research into the intricate interactions of radiation and matter. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
