Dark green publisher's cloth, yellow lettering on spine (minor shelfwear), w/ d.j. photo cover art of captured artillery (minor scuffing, couple very minor closed tears, slight tear upper right corner), still VG/VG- copy. Following the withdrawal of the British from the Dardanelles, his 16th Division was transferred to Syria, fights General Allenby at the capture of Jerusalem, and was taken prisoner and interned in Egypt. Subsequently he served with the British as an interpreter for British Intelligence, and then returned as a POW at Belbeis until July 12, 1920 when discharged, eventually immigrating to the U.S., attending and earning degrees, before opening businesses in Georgia. Very scarce in original dustjacket.
