Screening programs were distributed to attendees of special, often pre-release screenings and contain film credits as well as assorted other information. No dust jacket. Includes 8 colour plates and numerous drawings. Unpaginated. Book is good, clean internally. Four of the drawings have been lightly and neatly coloured in, and there is an inscription by the previous owner, and a small light yellow crayon scribble over a drawing on the title page. The front hinge is a little shaky, but binding is sound. The boards are reasonably clean, with very light soiling. The spine strip is missing, and there is light shelf-wear to the extremities. All proceeds from the sale of this item go to Amnesty International.

There are no credits in the book (and thus presumably unauthorized) but it was written by Preston's aunt Zoe Hoyle, identified in the original as "Z.H.," and illustrated by Preston in collaboration with George Howard-Vyse. Preston drew the Peek-A-Boo characters and backgrounds while Howard-Vyse rendered all the rabbit figures. Preston (1887-1969) was the illustrator and writer of many British children's books, most published between 1910 and 1934, when she received a substantial inheritance and more or less removed herself from public view. Colour frontis and eight other plates plus line drawings in text. This is a fair copy only: covers rubbed, base of spine missing, binding shaky in places. Unpaginated but there may be a page missing in Chapter VII. A few pages tanned but the book is generally bright especially the plates. There are no inscriptions but some very small library stamps towards the end of the book.
