Ernest Prater Ilustrador. "Livingstone the Pathfinder" is a biography by Basil Mathews about the life and explorations in Africa by Dr. David Livingstone. His adventures involved combinations of hardship and altruism. Within are seventeen illustrations by Ernest Prater and twenty-four other pictures and photographs and three maps. Some of the illustrations are in color. There is also a color frontispiece with tissue guard. This is a FIRST EDITION published in 1912 by the Missionary Education Movement of the United States and Canada in New York. The front cover is decorative embossed and/or engraved. Please check the photos and ask questions. "GD-(Good Minus)-The covers and binding have heavy amounts of staining and soiling. The corners are bumped and blunted. The binding has fading. There is heavy rubbing to the edges. The boards and endpapers have moderate amounts of markings, yellowing, and foxing. The book is structurally sound free from splits and cracks. The interior pages have moderate amounts of yellowing, foxing, and soiling. There are no loose or missing pages. The book overall retains decent presentation with overall appeal.".
