Die Ausstellung w…urde vom späteren Intendanten des steirischen herbst Horst Gerhard Haberl kuratiert. Gezeigt wurden Fotografien, Filme, Videoarbeiten und Performances von Künstler*innen wie Trisha Brown, Günter Brus, VALIE EXPORT, Bella Lewitzky, Otto Muehl, Friederike Pezold, Arnulf Rainer, Klaus Rinke, Lucas Samaras und Bruce Naumann. Anliegen der Ausstellung war es, den Körper als Kommunikationsinstrument vorzustellen. Die Ausstellung polarisierte, es wurde Anzeige wegen Verdachtes des Vergehens gegen das Pornographiegesetz erstattet, ein Besucher der Ausstellung wurde im Streit um eine offene Toilettentür angeschossen. Der Katalog dieser legendären Ausstelung enthält neben zahlreichen Abbildungen der gezeigten Arbeiten Textbeiträge von Horst Gerhard Haberl (?MOTIVATION EINER AUSSTELLUNG?), Hermann Kern (?RELIGIÖS MOTIVIERTE KÖRPERPHÄNOMENE?), Arnulf Rainer (PSYCHOSEN UND KÖRPERSPRACHEN), Gedanken von Gottfried Biedermann und Wilfried Skreiner zu Franz Xavers ?Charakterköpfen?, Otto Breicha zu den Posenfotos Schieles und Peter Gorsen über KÖRPERRITUALE DER TRAVESTIE UND DES TRANSVESTISMUS.
