This book is Signed on the first front end paper by six different firefighters, a couple of them inscribed it. It appears to have been owned by an individual who was just beginning his career as a firefighter. The book is richly illustrated throughout with some really powerful images. All of the illustrations are in excellent condition. You can see the covers of the book in the photos. They're exceptionally clean. The gilt lettering on the spine is very bright. The edges and corners are in very solid shape, no rubbing. There are a couple of tiny indents at the bottom edge of the front cover, nothing much of anything. The page edges look very good. The book is square and the spine is straight. The binding is very solid from cover to cover with nicely tight pages and nicely tight covers as well. The interior of the book looks terrific. The white inside covers and endpapers are perfectly clean. I didn't see any soiling on any of the pages. I'm not seeing any creasing. There are no markings. No attachments. And the firefighter's signatures represent the only writing to be found anywhere in the book. The dust jacket is in solid condition. It's very clean. There are no tears. There are a few scratches. The flaps are in very good condition. They look clean. I don't see any significant wear, no tears. The jacket will be fitted with a large protective cover after the photos are scanned. Unfortunately, the book is large and heavier than average (3 pounds unpacked), so the cost to ship it outside of the United States will be significantly higher than the quoted price. The author, Allan de la Plante, 'has been working for the past two years on this book.
