Ausführlich berichtet er über Land und Leute, wobei er insbesondere auf Sitten und Gebräuche sowie auf das Kastenwesen eingeht und viele wertvolle, bis dahin mitunter völlig unbekannte Informationen über das Land gibt. - Im Anhang mit einem kurzen Wortverzeichnis der Tamul-Sprache, sowie einem Auszug aus dem Werk von Legoux de Flaix, die Pagode von Chalamburam betreffend. - Stellenweise leicht braun- oder minimal stockfleckig, etwas schiefgelesen, unbeschnittenes Exemplar, dadurch Umschläge etwas bestoßen und die Ränder etwas verstaubt.
