Six Views On 5 8 ½ X 11 Stiff Card Sheets; Echo Lake Franconia Notch, Elysian Land Lost River, Crawford Notch, The Old Man Of The Mountain, The Flume, Jacob's Ladder Mt. Washington. All In Good+ To Vg Condition With The Original Spiderweb Patterned Glassine Protective Sheets Between Each (Some Creasing And Chipping To These.) All Have Light Upper Corner Crease(S) Only One Of Which Dips Into The Image Area. The Prints Are Litho-Press Plates Using The Trademarked 'Gelo-Chromatic' Process Which Gave Them Lightly Colored Hues, Nice For Framing. The Original Brown Folder Is Complete With Some Light Staining Along The Flap And The Bottom Edge Starting To Chip And Separate Along The Left 1/2. The Original Sales Envelope (Black Text & Decorations) Printed Brown Envelope Is Present And In Very Worn & Chipped Condition. Research Located Just 1 Other Example For Sale And No Reference To The Term 'Gelo-Chromatic'. It Was Apparently Dreamed Up/Coined For A Process That This Man Invented But Apparently (Again) Never Gained Any Popularity, Even With Himself As He Created No Other Sets But Did Apparently Give Or Sell The Rights To At Least One Other Business, This One: 'The Maple Shop' In Twin Mountain, Which Is Listed On Each Print And The Mailing Envelope. This Set Has No Series Designation Listed Though We Have Located Another Similar Set Designated 'Series One', No Others Were/Have Been (To My Knowledge In 40+ Years Of Collecting Wm Material) Located. . Historical Notes: Everett Parker First Began Advertising His Business During The Early 1920S In Bethlehem, Perhaps 1920 Or 21, As 'C. Everett Parker And Co., Druggists'. I Have Found Him In Numerous Publications Most Specifically The 'White Mountain Directory', Volume Four, 1923 Through 1925. His Company Grew To Incorporate Another Store In Littleton And Continued To Be A Staple For The Folks In That Region Region Up Until The 1960S. The Founder (C. Everett Parker) Died During The 1930S And Was Treasurer, Still Living In Bethlehem, For Many Years Before His Death. He Is Listed As Treasurer In The Directories Of 1933-34 But Not Listed In 1935-37. During The Same Time, The Early 1920S And Onward, There Was Another Company, In Franconia, With The Name Of W. F. Parker And Sons, General Merchandise. I Do Not Know If They Related. Also Not To Be Confused With Either 'Parker Brothers Glove Company' In Littleton Or Parker -Young Co. In Lisbon, Another Sizable Company There.
