This book explores the relationship between the intensity of spectral lines and the conditions under which they are produced, such as current and gas density, in the spectra of hydrogen, argon, and helium. The author chose these gases because their spectra exhibit distinct characteristics, providing valuable insights into the nature of spectral line variation. Through meticulous experimentation, the author discovered that spectral line intensities vary with current and gas density, with distinct patterns emerging for primary and secondary lines. The book delves into the complexities of these variations, revealing underlying relationships and exceptions. The findings shed light on the behavior of spectral lines under different excitation conditions and contribute to our understanding of the fundamental principles governing atomic and molecular spectra. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

Añadir al carritoPaperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the fascinating field of applied optics, bridging the gap between the fundamentals of optics and practical applications. The author delves into the principles underlying image formation, the design of optical instruments, and optical measurements. The historical development of these topics is traced, providing readers with a comprehensive understanding of their evolution. The book explores how the interplay of light, matter, and geometry allows us to manipulate and analyze light, creating tools for solving complex scientific and engineering problems. Through its in-depth analysis of optical systems, the book offers valuable insights into the design and construction of telescopes, microscopes, cameras, and other optical devices, highlighting the critical role of optics in shaping our perception of the world.
