Neben anderen Merianischen Werken habe Hutter die Kupferplatten der Chronik (sowie vom Theatrum Europaeum Anm.) erhandelt. So sei die Sprache der Gegenwart angeglichen ( neuen Styl ) worden, die Orthographie der Personennamen und die Jahreszahlen verbessert, Marginalen überprüft und erweitert, die Köpfe der Herrscher auf den 31 Tafeln Verweise erhalten, wo sie im Werk vorkommen, die Kupfer mit Nummern und Legenden versehen, das Register geordnet, teils überholt und wesentlich erweitert, worden. So schreibt auch Wüthrich Obwohl die späteste Ausgabe, ist sie doch wegen der verbesserten Register und Texte die brauchbarste .
