F.', fortunately she has written her name to the top of the title page 'Lillian E. Fuller'. Album for the Young (Album für die Jugend), Op. 68, was composed by Robert Schumann in 1848 for his three daughters. The album… consists of a collection of 43 short works. Unlike the Kinderszenen, they are suitable to be played by children or beginners. The second part, starting at number 19 (Kleine Romanze), is marked Für Erwachsenere (For adults; For more grown-up ones) and contains more demanding pieces through to the last piece. 4to. 12'' x 9½''. Contains 64 pages followed by 8 page guidance from Robert Schumann titled 'Advice to Young Musicians'. Pages 23 - 26 inclusive, (pieces 17 - 20) are missing, however, pieces 21, 26, and 30 are not listed to the contents page and have asterisks replacing the listed piece. It remains a rare and early collection of Robert Schumann's artistry. Member of the P.B.F.A. SHEET MUSIC.
