The front flyleaf bears his large, boldly penciled full ownership signature, belong which he wrote "Page 145/481." On page 145 his five-page chapter, "'I Do Not Think Myself Fit for the Presidency': The Election of 1860,: begins, and he's placed a slip of paper (titled "Waldorf Astoria Memorandum") with his initials penciled at the top of the paper slip and with checkmarks penciled on each of the other four pages. Page 481 features a one-paragraph entry about Stevenson in its "Biographical Sketches of Contributors" section. A unique copy. Signed by Other.…

Lewis (1897-1991), noted film, radio and television script writer. 1p, 7¼" X 10½", Los Angeles, CA, 8 October 1960. Detailed commentary on various Civil War Round Table issues. And third is from R. Gerald McMurtry (1906-88), American historian, director of the Louis A. Warren Lincoln Library and Museum (1956-73) and author of more than 200 articles, pamphlets and books about Lincoln. 1p, 8½" X 11", Fort Wayne, IN, 22 April 1960.
