About The Author: Subrat K. Nanda is currently working as a faculty member in the department of Rural Development and Agricultural Production at the NorthEastern Hill University, Tura campus, Tura Meghalaya. He has obtained his M. Phil. and Doctoral degree in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He joined NorthEastern Hill University in December 1988 and he taught at different campuses of NEHU.
