Auflage von Julius Schuberths Musikalischem Conversations-Lexikon (1877) und veröffentlichte neben Kritiken und Aufsätzen in verschiedenen Zeitschriften auch Chöre und Lieder. In den Jahren 1876 bis 1888 war er in regem Briefwechsel mit F. W. Jähns in Berlin über Weber-Themen; in der Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin sind 142 Briefe Musiols an Jähns und 148 Briefe von Jähns an Musiol überliefert.
