The poet Josefa Murillo, who was born in Tlacotalpan on February 29, 1860 and died on September 1, 1898 in Tlacotalpan, on the banks of the river, and who only made one trip, to Orizaba, read, however, in the language original to Victor Hugo and the romantics. The author of the prologue, the academic Georgina Trigos tells us: "The story shows us a small and sickly woman endowed with inner strength and a keen sense of reality."
