Hardback binding very good; contents clean and tight, no inscriptions, unmarked. Original cardboard slipcase worn. 'The Indo-Japanese Botanical Expedition was sent to Sikkim and the Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts in spring of 1960, sponsored by the University of Tokyo and the Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeonbotany., Lucknow. The expedition had made the study because this area of the Himalayas and Japan shared many similar species of plants.
