It was the first time that the Turkish army and the PKK experienced bilateral ceasefire. This work aimed to contribute to the peace proces…s in the transformation of the ceasefire into a negotiation process. After this report had been written, in President Erdogan's words the peace process has been put into deep freeze. And now, peace process had changed into a violent process in Turkey. There have been street clashes, deaths, bombings and all-out massacres. Local mayors and politicians were arrested by the state. More then hundred people were killed in Ankara and Suruç blasts. Diyarbakir Bar President Tahir Elçi was killed while he was making a press statement asking an end to violence. This violent atmosphere undermined the efforts of democratic powers, NGOs, and peace groups. The report which was written before the start of the violence tried to draw the attention of the actors to the shortcomings and dangers in the peace process. Unfortunately, the violence started to dominate Turkey's agenda again. The Turkish version of this report was introduced to the public in a conference named 'Towards a Peaceful Resolution' in Istanbul. Also, this Turkish version was pusblished by Metis Publishing, in October, 2015. The name of the book is 'Defending Peace Perspective' .

Both concepts include an approach to student management in the Ottoman and the Italian higher education. In the study, fir…st of ali, the concepts of kemerbasi and consiliarius will be discussed and the reasons for their emergence will be emphasized. The qualifications and quantities of each student institution will be pointed out, and their position, authority, and duties in the Ottoman and Italian higher education will be discussed. The result obtained, it is aimed to reveal a position in the Ottoman medrese system that has not been discussed much, and to öpen new subdivisions in the field of the Ottoman education history. In the study, both inductive and deductive methods will be used to discuss the subject, and it can be stated that the study is qualitative. While making these definitions, the use of analogy will also be applied to understand the scales and forms. The sources and data needed for the discussed topic were primarily obtained from Ottoman archival documents. In this respect, Ottoman archive sources were scanned, and the Ottoman chronicles were added to this scan. Secondary sources and research records will then be used to explain each institution and the position of the Ottoman kemerbasi and the Italian consiliarius. Editors: Translator: 132 pages.

Those who founded and built the Ottoman mentality is the Ottoman ulema and the ilmiye class, which is its institutional structure. Despite the fact that ulema, which constitutes the Ottoman ilmiye class within the aske…rî class is divided into different sub-classes, the center they are affiliated is the Ottoman medrese. In this regard, the Ottoman medreses are the center of the Ottoman ilmiye class and its intellectual mentality; therefore, it has its own tradition, customs, and clothing form. And attires make the Ottoman ilmiye visible within the state with all its elements and reiterate its status. The clothing regulations and differences of the Ottoman ilmiye class manifest itself strongly from studentship, which is the lowest level, to the office of the sheikh al-Islam, the highest post. Differences and status regulations are made distinct through the design and colors of attires as well. Thus, they are rendered easily distinguishable in the society. With this study, covering the attires belonging to the Ottoman ilmiye class, it is aimed to provide contribution to three fields. Firstly, it is aimed to unfold the clothing norms of the Ottoman ilmiye class, and hence to establish a theoretical base. Surely, the clothing norm of the Ottoman ilmiye class has a philosophical background and reason. The design of this theoretical plan and reason is discussed in this study. Another target is to classify attires belonging to the Ottoman ilmiye class, to serve as a source for future studies. With this classification effort, the ilmiye attires will be sorted out and thus, the attires will be inter-related. The third and the last aim is to pave the way for establishment of the Ottoman ilmiye class attires as a sub-discipline in the Ottoman higher education studies. Because a sub-discipline that will serve as a source for comparative studies can be established as such.
