Kulturni atase na ambasade s nejasnymi kompetencemi je ochotny mu pomoci, kdyz bude spolupracovat. Naseptavac ani zadatel nemaji v umyslu sve prisliby prilis dodrzovat, ale presto nekdo musi v dabelske partii prohrat, treba i svuj zivot. Stanislav Moc ale pise take o tom, jak bludny udel emigranta zmenit. V druhe casti knihy nazvane Cesky dvur vylicil v humornych i dobrodruznych pribezich, jak vznikala prevazne ceska ctvrt v nove zastavbe, jaka se zde zrodila pratelstvi, jake zkusenosti vedou k nalezeni pozitivni filozofie, k poznani radu prirody i lidskeho souziti.

V Darwinu se ocitl mezi mladymi muzi z celeho sveta, kteri se snazili vydelat v tezkych podminkach, ale mnozi propadali nerestem. Na rozdil od ostatnich vsak jeho dobrodruzstvi skoncilo uspesne; nasel lasku, ozenil se a vratil se do Sydney s nezapomenutelnymi zazitky. Po letech, kdy jeho deti vyrostly, pracoval jako ridic autobusu pro klienty s demenci a Alzheimerovou chorobou. Dotykalo se ho omezovani svobody techto starych lidi, a kdyz se vzbouril proti byrokracii, prodal dum a prestehoval se na venkov do Queenslandu, kde nasel svobodny zivot v prirode, ktera se stala jeho osudem.

Another is a chemist with a degree from a Moscow University where he was also taught to spy on his countrymen; his Russian wife was taught to spy on him. Another son is a window cleaner trying to keep up with his brothers. The fifth son escaped to Australia in the 1960s where he has his own family and is now being drawn into his brothers less-than-ethical dealings. The daughter, the youngest of them all, represents the new idealism and hopes of the nation. All these characters help to create a credible portrait of the post-socialist Czech Republic's people, their dreams and aspirations as well as the devils that haunt them.
