Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book is a translation of a play in two acts first published in 1827, which revolves around the genre of comà die-vaudeville. A vaudeville is a light theatrical work, often a comedy, interspersed with popular songs. This work is no exception, and includes many songs throughout its text. Note that this particular translation is written in archaic and theatrical language, and references may not be clear to modern readers. The plot follows the story of M. d'Horicourt, a retired military man living in seclusion in the French countryside. His solitary existence is interrupted when Victorine, a young servant girl, arrives to care for him. Unbeknownst to M. d'Horicourt, Victorine is actually his estranged granddaughter, Clara, who has disguised herself in order to reconcile with him. The play explores the themes of family, forgiveness, and the power of love, and is a charming and entertaining example of early 19th-century French theater. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…

(ilustrador).…
