The book reported 9 new records from India and 33 new records from West Bengal. The book covers the species diversity and distribution of plant mites in four predominant phyto-geographic regions [Forest region, Coastal plain region, Rarh region and Gangetic Delta region] of Southern Bengal. The survey reported that the highest species diversity of plant mites was found in Gangetic Delta region out of all the regions.
