Hardcover. Condición: Good. No Dustjacket. Front hinge cracked. Limited Edition. Leon bronstein was born in moldavia in 1951 into a jewish family which survived the dark horrors of the holocaust. HeWas educated by strict and severe methods. To avoid dramatic tension, he did what children usually do. He escaped intoA world of dreams and fantasy, a world of childish amazement, by drawing and carving in wood. According to hisOwn recollections, leon bronstein created his first sculptures in his early youth. During his adolescence this taste forArt strengthened, though was not practically expressed. In 1979 he emigrated from moldavia to israel with his entire family. When he arrived he was already professionally educated as an engineer and watchmaker. Unfortunately, he couldNot find work in his profession. This happened in 1980, and for bronstein, this was the beginning of a newDirection in his career. The prospect of being a sculptor and making his living from it seemed at the time totally utopian. But when bronstein discovered this talent for fashioning small figures out of olive wood, he found a new path in life. That path took him, full of adventure and transformation, from the country of his birth to the land of israel. FromThis new talent he developed a creative power that generated an artistic vocation inspired by his determinationTo express freedom and reach for it. His works immediately appealed both to the public and to connoisseurs of art.He started exhibiting in galleries in israel and all over the world. …

paperback. Condición: Very Good. Most of our very good books have only minor imperfections such as shelf wear consistent with a new book that's sat on a bookshop shelf for a year or two. Occasionally we may miss other minor imperfections as we have to grade books at speed. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.
