The Foreword states that "This book has been compiled chiefly for the help of the 'beginning collector' who has hadso much difficulty in obtaining a satisfactory reference book." Numerous photograph plates of buttons in black-and-white by Faulkner, and several in color…by Peter Hollis and Alphaeus H. Albert. SIGNED by both authors on front endpaper. Spine and some portions of rear cover cloth lightly-to-moderately discolored (brownstained); single small spot ofsoil to front cover cloth. Half-moon shaped 4" x 2" faint pinkish stain of unknown origin occurs at inside front cover and first few pages, reoccurs very faintly at lower margins of some text pages and plates; corresponding light patch of brownstain at lower inside rear cover. Readability and clarity not affected. Binding tight, text crisp and unworn. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Signed by Author(s).
