Some light rubbing to the edges of the boards with a dent to the top edge of the rear panel. Scattered light spotting and light marking to page edges. Presentation copy with inscription from Ireland Methodist Sunday School in Bigton in Shetland (1939) to the front free endpaper - the recipient was my mother. There is browning to the endpapers and the pages at the front and rear of the book have light spotting but the pages are generally clean and unmarked. Colour frontispiece . The jacket has a one inch closed tear to the top left corner of the front panel and another one inch tear to the right side at the top of the spine with some associated creasing between the two tears. Small tears to the corners and in the top edge of the rear panel. The spine has some browning and there is a little discolouration to the rear panel .
