Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the origins of Goethe's Faust and argues that many of its most famous scenes, characters, and themes are deeply rooted in German folklore, literary tradition, and the historical context of Goethe's time. The author traces the evolution of the Faust legend from its medieval origins through its development in the 16th and 17th centuries, showing how Goethe drew upon these sources to create a work that is both timeless and firmly grounded in its era. The book also examines the influence of other literary works on Goethe's Faust, including Shakespeare's Hamlet and Marlowe's Doctor Faustus. Ultimately, this book offers a fresh and insightful perspective on one of the most enduring works of world literature, demonstrating its relevance to readers today. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
