Nicht nur die Rezepte, die die Charakterstik der Länderküchen widergeben, sondern auch die vielen Bilder der Länder, Landschaften, Restaurants, Hotels und vor allem der Menschen reizen einen sofort, am nächsten Tag den Einkaufszettel neu zu schreiben. Normalerweise unterscheiden sich die Geschmäcker der verschiedenen Länder und deren Menschen, aber ich glaube, bei diesem Band gibt es einfach kein ' Gesichtverziehen ' - auf jeden Fall aber ein 'Ausprobieren-Wollen'. Ein Buch einfach zum Verschenken oder noch besser zum selber kaufen. Der Preis ist hoch, aber verständlich für den, der seine Nase in das Buch steckt. Vor meiner ersten Asienreise, die in Hongkong beginnt, gönne ich mir dieses Buch und bin sehr befriedigt über die Qualität der Photos, die ganze Konzeption, die Informationsvielfalt und -Auswahl. Das Buch ist eine Mischung aus Merian Reiseführer, Kochbuch und Kunstkatalog.
