You leave Albuquerque, New Mexico, on I-25, connect with US 60 at Socorro, and head for Springerville, Arizona. It's a 219-mile drive. At 55 miles an hour, the trip takes about four hours. Suppose you had to make the same trip in the early 1920's? A delightful tale of a trip sponsored by the Butler Auto Co. of Albuquerque, complete with fourteen vintage photographs, including one of turning the car upside down to make a repair. A wonderful tale of an automobile journey taken "sometime after 1919, probably not far into the 1920's, and certainly before 1927." Fine copy.
