First Draft typescript for the Season 1 Episode 3 of the 1953-1963 television series, which originally aired on July 31, 1957 on CBS, seen here under the working title "The Transmogrification of Chester Brown." Manuscript pencil and ink annotations throughout, most noting pagination and editorial revisions. Included with the script are several letters and memos between screenwriter Arthur Hailey, agent Maeve Southgate, and programming executive Marshall Jamison, as well as several typed memos from within Jamison's office, discussing revisions to the script, dated variously between March 29 and July 30, 1957. A meek office clerk at an advertising firm takes a "Personality Projection" course which ignites his self-confidence, leading him to pursue greater opportunities at the firm. Blue titled self wrappers, noted as LIMITED DISTRIBUTION / FIRST DRAFT in manuscript pencil annotation on the front wrapper, along with an annotation noting the date 4/24/57, with credits for screenwriter Arthur Hailey. Vintage Tentative Shooting Schedule for the 1969 film, copy belonging to casting director Marvin Paige, with the annotation of his name in manuscript marker in the top right corner of the title page, and two underlines to "tentative," dated June 7, 1968. The 51 page shooting schedule, covering the 50 days of shooting, from 6/17/68 through 8/23/68, is printed horizontally on goldenrod leaves, and contains copied annotations on five pages, circling the sequence number, interior or exterior sequence, night or day sequence, and a needed effect. Woody Allen's directorial debut, one of the great American comedies, the film that set the template for Allen's 1970s work. Allen stars as Virgil Starkwell, a terribly inept bank robber, whose life is told documentary-style, with an FBI voiceover as well as interviews with his family and friends. Set and shot on location in San Francisco and San Quentin State Prison. Self wrappers with front wrapper integral with title page, dated June 7, 1968, with credits for director Woody Allen. 51 leaves, with last page of text numbered 50. The need for an updated synthesis on paleoceanographic science is urgent, owing to the huge and very diversified progress made in this domain during the last decade. In addition, no comprehensive monography still exists in this domain. This is quite incomprehensible in view of the contribution of paleoceanographic research to our present understanding of the dynamics of the climate-ocean system. The focus on the Late Cenozoic ocean responds to two constraints. Firstly, most quantitative methods, notably those based on micropaleontological approaches, cannot be used back in time beyond a few million years at most. Secondly, the last few million years, with their strong climate oscillations, show specific high frequency changes of the ocean with a relatively reduced influcence of tectonics. In this first volume, we have gathered up-to-date methodologies for the measurement and quantitative interpretation of tracers and proxies in deep sea sediments that allow reconstruction of a few key past-properties of the ocean( temperature, salinity, sea-ice cover, seasonal gradients, pH, ventilation, oceanic currents, thermohaline circulation, and paleoproductivity). Chapters encompass physical methods (conventional grain-size studies, tomodensitometry, magnetic and mineralogical properties), most current biological proxies (planktic and benthic foraminifers, deep sea corals, diatoms, coccoliths, dinocysts and biomarkers) and key geochemical tracers (trace elements, stable isotopes, radiogenic isotopes, and U-series).
