The need for a colour guide to the butterflies of Nepal has been urgently felt for a number of years; so rather than wait till all the species could be photographed in the field, other photographs of set specimens have been added to make this the most complete set of illustrations of Nepal's butterfly species yet produced. It gives pictures of 70% of the species, covering 90% of the genera found in Nepal.
