Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book offers a unique glimpse into the lives and thoughts of ordinary people from the Victorian era. The author, a commercial traveller, spent years collecting epitaphs from churchyards across England. He was fascinated by their diversity, and his work captures the poignant beauty of these humble memorials. Some of the epitaphs express faith in a future life, while others are filled with sorrow and loss.
