He had a long political career serving as a Conservative MP from 1864 until 1906, twice serving as Chancellor of the Exchequer and briefly as Leader of the Opposition in 1886. As part of that interest he collected quotes from the great and the not-so-great into a weighty manuscript that is presented here. Unfortunately Stuart passed away in 2018. His wife, Yun Soon, decided that she would like to see the fruits of Stuart's labour turned into a book, which led to the publication of A Passion for Quotes. The book is organised alphabetically by category, with some quotes appearing in more than one category. (MP).
