Inviting an unknown recipient to participate in a lottery in the "rich and most splendid scheme" of the Royal Havana or Cuba Plan Lottery, drawn by the authority of the state of Kentucky, and published in the New York Herald. Flattened creases from folding; some very light wrinkling along the edges.

GL 144, drawn on 7th November 1815. One advertisement is printed on the blue paper usually used for wrappers, with books advertised on the verso. (Stabbed & sl. torn without loss of text.) The other slip is a poem 'How to Get Rich!' which merely mentions Bish in its text. A ms. account for gloves & lace, &c. is written on verso. Three prizes were for £50,000.
