Ricca legatura in marocchino rosso dell'epoca con ricca doratura: una larga bordura neoclassica e una grande losanga centrale, dorso con titolo e 6 scomparti decorati in oro. Con 35 tavole incise all'acquatinta, stupendamente dipinte a mano, numerate rispetto alla prima edizione. Seconda edizione, assai più rara di quella del 1811, di questa famosa stupenda serie di incisioni in rame all'acquatinta dai disegni dei Lory e da loro colorate presso l'editore. La pubblicazione intendeva  promuovere la nuova strada attraverso il Sempione, tra il Lago Lemano e il Lago Maggiore, aperta poco tempo prima.
