Subsequently reprinted, this completely revised new edition was published in 1950 and all copies are now scarce. This record of the catastrophic upheavel, which destroyed the famous Pink and White Terraces, includes many eye-witness and first- hand accounts from survivors, details of the lakes, terraces, geysers and volcanoes of the Rotorua region and how widespread the effects of the Tarawera eruption were felt.
