Sean Connery stars as Paddy Damion, the best friend of a gangster who is killed in opposition to the extortionist mob that runs a decrepit area of London. Paddy swears revenge on those responsible for his friend's death, and after a bit of bloodshed, agrees to provide information to the police in exchange for a light sentence. An early starring role for Sean Connery, who would solidify his status in Hollywood as James Bond, in "Dr. No" (1962), and a gratifying crime drama in the noir style, with a nightclub setting, a femme fatale (Yvonne Romaine), and downbeat ending. Draft script for the 1963 film. Laid in is a two page, stapled cast list, dated December 21, 1962, as well as a three page, stapled cast and unit list, dated December 21, 1962. Here under the working title, "It's All Happening." A local talent-spotter organizes a benefit concert to save the orphanage he grew up in. Later categorized as a "children's musical," this film featured a great number of actual popular singer and bands active in the 1960s in England. Green untitled wrappers with a die-cut title window in the British style. Title page present, dated November 29, 1962. 72 leaves, with last page of text numbered 71. Multilith duplication. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine bound internally with three silver brads.

Revised and Final Shooting script for the 1958 film, copy belonging to Production Designer George Provis. Laid in are over 30 pages of notes, shooting schedules, and call sheets, including four pages of original pencil storyboards, as well as several clippings of handwritten notes, all in Provis' hand, as well as seven letters written to Provis, most typed letters signed from Production Manager "Freddie" Pearson, all dating from 1957. George Provis was a British Art Director and Production Designer who began his career working on quota quickies (low budget features made to comply with Britain's Cinematograph Films Act of 1927) in the 1930s. After the Second World War, Provis was appointed by British film producer Sydney Box to head the art department at Gainsborough Pictures, and is credited on over 120 films. Based on the 1940 novel by Phyllis Bottome. Set in Austria during WWII, a young Austrian boy is forced to sell the family dog to pay for food, rather than have his abusive father, played by Donald Pleasence, sell the dog to the butcher. Shot on location in Innsbruck, Austria. Tall titled orange wrappers, noted as Shooting Script on the front wrapper, dated 26.9.57. Title page present, dated September 12th, 1957, noted as Revised and Final Shooting Script. 61 leaves, with last page of text numbered 64. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, bound internally with a prong binding. Laid in materials, Very Good plus to Near Fine overall.
