Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a debate on the experiments and conclusions of Francis Bashforth regarding the resistance of air to projectiles. Bashforth, a professor at the Advanced Class of the Royal Artillery, spent years conducting detailed experiments using a chronograph he invented. His results were published in 1870, providing valuable insights into the behavior of projectiles in the air. In 1881, the Krupp Company issued similar tables without acknowledging Bashforth's work and claiming credit for themselves. His protest against their actions was met with a weak defense from Krupp, who claimed to have used different methods despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. The author's analysis of the dispute highlights the importance of acknowledging prior research and the significance of Bashforth's contributions to the field of ballistics. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
