Stärkere Gebrauchsspuren an den Rändern). 23x14 cm * Lorenz Kraußold (geb. 9. Februar 1803 in Mistelgau; gest. 22. Oktober 1881 in Bayreuth), war für ein Jahr bei einem ihm verwandten Pfarrer Vikar in Muggendorf und erstmalig in Fürth als Pfarrvikar von 1829 - 1831 bei dem 80-jährigen Fronmüller. Nach seiner ersten Pfarrstelle in Unteraufsees / Dekanat Bamberg wurde Kraußold 1835 auf die neugeschaffene Predigerstelle der Auferstehungskirche berufen. Diese war damals als 5. Pfarrstelle an St. Michael assoziiert. Zwei Jahre darauf wurde Kraußold im April 1837 auf die ebenfalls neugeschaffene 4. Pfarrstelle ernannt und rückte 1846 auf die 3. Pfarrstelle vor und war nach wenigen Jahren bis 1854 dann 2. Pfarrer von St. Michael. Er rückte "früh von der starren Luthernachfolge seines Freundes Wilhelm Löhe ab., und als Mitglied zahlreicher Ausschüsse äußerte sich K. häufig literarisch zu gottesdienstlichen Problemen und anderen kirchlichen Zeitfragen." Kraußold hatte entscheidenden Anteil an der liturgischen und kirchenmusikalischen Erneuerung, mit der Bayern den anderen deutschen Landeskirchen voranging. 1854 wurde Kraußold Konsistorialrat und Hauptprediger in Bayreuth. Seine zunehmende Hinneigung zu liberaler Theologie (anscheinend unter dem Einfluss seines Sohnes Max und Richard Wagners) verhinderte Kraußolds Berufung in das Oberkonsistorium nach München. Als Pfarrer in Fürth (seit 1835), der früh von der starren Luthernachfolge seines Freundes Wilhelm Löhe abgerückt war, und als Mitglied zahlreicher Ausschüsse äußerte sich Kraußold häufig literarisch zu gottesdienstlichen Problemen und anderen kirchlichen Zeitfragen. Im Versuch einer Theorie des Kirchenlieds" (1844) und in der Schrift Vom alten protestantisch Choral" (1847) trat er nachdrücklich und erfolgreich für die Wiederbelebung der rhythmischen", das heißt nichtisometrischen Gestalt der Gemeindeliedweisen ein und arbeitete insbesondere mit seiner Musicalischen Altaragende" (1853) der Einführung einer neuen Liturgieform in Anlehnung an die reformatorischen Gottesdienstordnungen vor. So hatte er entscheidenden Anteil an der liturgischen und kirchenmusikalischen Erneuerung, mit der Bayern den anderen deutschen Landeskirchen voranging. 1854 wurde Kraußold Konsistorialrat und Hauptprediger in Bayreuth. Dort wirkte er seit 1855 auch als Sekretär des Historischen Vereins von Oberfranken, dessen Leitung er 1863 übernahm. Daneben war er die treibende Kraft in einem privaten Historischen Kränzchen", dem Richard Wagner sogleich nach seinem Eintreffen in Bayreuth 1872 beitrat und wesentliche Förderung seiner Festspielidee verdankte. Namentlich nach dem Tod des Bayreuther Dekans Wilhelm Dittmar 1877 gehörte Kraußold zum engsten Freundeskreis des Hauses Wahnfried; er beriet Wagner in musikgeschichtlichen und liturgischen Fragen bei der Arbeit am Parsifal".
