Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Near Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Printed in the U.S.A. [Date from the copyright page.] Stated First American Edition. First Printing. Frontispiece, Preface, Sources, Illustrations, Maps, Select Bibliography, Index; xxii, 233 pages. The original dark-blue cloth is excellent, wit…h corners square and gilt lettering on the spine clear. The interior is fresh and bright; however, there are some respectful pale pencil marks on a number of pages by my philosopher-father. The original dust jacket, with price intact ($22.95), shows just a touch of wear with a tiny tear at the corner of the front panel. [Please see my five images of the actual book.] "Lawrence, replying in 1933 to Liddell Hart, at that time writing a biography of him, [said] 'Probably my upbringing and adventures---and way of thinking---have bereft me of class. Only the leisured classes make me acutely uncomfortable. I cannot play or pass time.' But he then added a cautionary word, of which we, also his biographers, should take due note. 'Lots of people go about saying that they alone understand me. They do not know how little they see, each of them separately. My name is Legion.' If we have brought into focus just some of the more important aspects of the personality and achievements of T. E. Lawrence we shall be well content." (From the Introduction) As with every book from my father's collection, tipped-in at the front is the small, attractive, acid-free bookplate pictured on my homepage. All books are wrapped with special care and are shipped promptly with tracking; international sales sent via global priority, also with tracking.

FIRST EDITION WITH REMARKABLE PHOTOGRAPHS. "Recognized as an exceptional figure in his own lifetim…e, T.E. Lawrence. What emerges is a credible but still very remarkable Lawrence as opposed to an incredible 'Lawrence of Arabia.'"- Publisher.
