This biographical film surrounds the life of Oscar Wilde, with particular focus on Wilde's libel suit against the Marquess of Queensberry, and the following accusations of Wilde's homosexuality. Written by prominent British film and television writer, Jo Eisinger, whose career spanned more than forty years. Eisinger is best known for his psychologically complex thrillers, 'Gilda' (1946) and 'Night and the City' (1950). Bound in the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, smart, with light edge wear and the odd mark. One or two small tears, with a crease and tear to the head of the rear joint. Pencil mark to front cover. Internally, firmly bound.
