Sheet Music. Condición: Brand New. In Stock.

Hardcover. Condición: As New. Estado de la sobrecubierta: None, As Issued. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. Signed. 60 pages. Published in 1991. Rare Leif Ove Andsnes collectible set. A pristine copy of his 1991 Virgin Classics Compact Disc (CD) recording of Janacek piano works with a pristine copy of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) Souvenir Program, both signed by Leif Ove Andsnes. The Program is also signed by Marc-Andre Hamelin. The very first release on CD. Precedes and should not be confused with all other subsequent releases. The first release is now scarce. Presents Leif Ove Andsnes' "Janacek". Definitive and wide-ranging performances by the Norwegian pianist at the very beginning of his now-stupendous career. Features all of Leos Janacek's major works for piano, now widely recognized as such: "Piano Sonata 1.X.1905"; "In The Mists"; and "On The Overgrown Path Series I". "Beautiful music, most of the selections are seldom heard, by one of the greatest pianists of our time" (James Obenland). An absolute "must-have" collectible, not just memorabilia, set for Leif Ove Andsnes collectors. This copy of the Virgin Classics CD of "Janacek" is very boldly and beautifully signed in metallic-silver pen-marker in front by Leif Ove Andsnes. It is signed directly on the cover itself. Andsnes' specimen-signature is, quite simply, the fullest and most beautiful we have ever seen: Clean, flowing, elegant. It comes with a pristine copy of the April/May 2017 CSO Souvenir Program, which features the landmark Andsnes/Hamelin duo-piano recital, also very prominently and beautifully signed in black pen-marker on the Program Schedule Page by the artist. The Program is also very prominently and beautifully signed in black pen-marker on the same page by Marc-Andre Hamelin. This title is a CD classic. As far as we know, this is the only such signed set available online and is in especially fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright. A rare signed set thus. One of the greatest pianists of our time. A fine set. (SEE ALSO MAURIZIO POLLINI, ARCADI VOLODOS, EVGENY KISSIN, LANG LANG, YUNDI, AND JEAN-YVES THIBAUDET TITLES IN OUR CATALOG). Signed by Author.…
