Binding is firm. This abridged 16mo second edition was issued without a map. The 1839 first edition featured xvi, 397 pages and was published as an octavo with a map by New York publisher E. French. Pages are moderately foxed, remain quite readable. A quite rough copy that is suitable for rebinding, with a map in good condition. All of our books are individually inspected and described.
