Two vintage portrait photographs of character actor Richard Jaeckel, circa 1959, including one postcard photograph with Jaeckel's signature from the negative at the bottom right of the recto. One with the stamp of the Silver Screen Archives on the verso. Born in Long Beach, New York, Jaeckel is today best remembered for his work in war and Western films, most notably "The Dirty Dozen" (1967) and "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid" (1973), and for his late-career performance in "Starman" (1984). He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in the 1971 Paul Newman film "Sometimes a Great Notion." One photograph 3.5 x 5.5 inches, the other 2.5 x 3.5 inches. Near Fine.

Based on Ken Kesey's 1964 novel, about a family of independent loggers who refuse to support a local logging union's strike against a lumber conglomerate. Nominated for two Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actor for Richard Jaeckel. Set in the fictional town of Wakonda, Oregon, and shot on location throughout western Oregon, in Lincoln County and the Oregon Coast. One photograph 8 x 10 inches, the other 9.5 x 7.5 inches. Near Fine.

A team of scientists returning from a space mission realize they've brought back a green, gooey substance capable of transforming into one-eyed, murderous cephalopods. Shot on location in Japan. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus, several with pinholes to the corners.

A very nearly experimental Western made by Sam Peckinpah at his peak, sufficiently strange to have remained of interest only to the most intense fans of Western revisionism. Comparable only to "McCabe and Mrs. Miller" (1971) and "The Shooting" (1966) in terms of sheer impressionism being laid upon the genre, with iconic imagery and super-stylization in every frame. Shot on location in Durango, Mexico. Beige titled Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer front wrapper, dated July 7, 1972, with credits for Peckinpah and screenwriter Rudolph Wurlitzer. Missing rear wrapper. No Binding. Condición: Fine. 1st Edition. A scarce First Screening, Finnish lobby poster for the 1958 war drama, WHEN HELL BROKE LOOSE, starring Charles Bronson and Richard Jaeckel. The film was first screened in Finland in 1959 and this is a first-release movie poster. Standard Finnish A2 size, measuring approximately 40cm x 60cm (16" x 23.25".) The poster was made by Fotopaino Oy, artist-signed signed in the plate. Condition: C8, Very Fine. No discernible folding crease, originally rolled. Cinema-used. One set of staple holes to each corner, (see images) Top left corner slightly creased but the poster has obviously been dismounted with care. Free from tears or nicks to edges. Very minor sunning to bottom right corner. Trivial edge-wear/creasing otherwise in really Fine, clean condition.
