Gleim kennen. 1774 gründete er in Düsseldorf die Zeitschrift 'Iris', zu der Goethe Beiträge lieferte. (vgl. DBE 5, 274 f.). Die Gedichte und Prosa Jacobis wurden später "tiefer und wahr, wozu die Berührung mit Goethe wirksam beitrug.
