Ittner (1754-1825). - Der Schriftsteller Johann Georg Jacobi (1740-1814) war ab 1766 Professor für Philosophie in Halle, dort lernte er Wieland u. Gleim kennen. 1774…gründete er in Düsseldorf die Zeitschrift 'Iris', zu der Goethe Beiträge lieferte. (vgl. DBE 5, 274 f.). Die Gedichte und Prosa Jacobis wurden später "tiefer und wahr, wozu die Berührung mit Goethe wirksam beitrug. Manche seiner Lieder sind Goethe untergeschoben worden, und eines von ihnen hielt Goethe selbst für sein Eigentum." (Goed.). - Bd. 8 leicht stockfleckig.
