Bound in textured dark green leatherette with gilt Modern Library BL embellishment on the cover, and gilt lettering on the spine. Textured brown endpapers. xiv, 182 pp. Taledano 1. Catalog 1. Endpaper A. "Johann K…aspar Schmidt, (1806-1856), known professionally as Max Stirner, was a German post-Hegelian philosopher, dealing mainly with the Hegelian notation of social alienation and self-consciousness." (Wikipedia). Some wear and mild discoloration along edges of the cover, particularly at the head and foot of the spine. Unmarked except for a previous owner's name and a 3-digit number on the front endpaper, number also on the title page. Some discoloration between pages 174 and 175. Leaves have delightfully and evenly toned with only occasional foxing throughout. Spine is cocked, but the binding is sound and pagination is complete. VG. A very nice, very readable copy.
