Comes with a nice black box, slipcase. This wonderful book is in super condition and looks like it's hardly been used or read. Normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. Paradise Lost was first published in Ten Books in 1667. The author later revised and augmented the work, which was published in Twelve Books in 1674, by S. It is this version, which is reproduced here, in the Cambridge University Press Edition, edited by William Aldis Wright, and published in 1903. The introduction is a substantially revised version of John Wain's essay, Strength and Isolation, first published in The Living Milton, ed. Frank Kermode, 1960.
