Very Good condition book in scarce near Very Good condition dust wrapper with 5 mm piece of paper missing to the top of the spine, nicks and chips to the edges and corners, 3/6 to the spine. Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection, this preserves and prolongs the life of the paper, it is not adhered to the book or to the dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A. Shepard's illustrations, 8vo., pp.519, pictorial green cloth lettered in cream, top edges green, frontispiece and pictorial title vignette, b/w plates, pictorial endpapers; contemporary ink ownership autograph to reverse of frontispiece, foxing to fore-edges and (just lightly) to endpapers, a very good copy, in a price-clipped pictorial dust-jacket, with foxing and toning to the pale paper, and chipping to extremities, with loss at head and tail of spine, repaired with the clipped section from front flap, with staining from now-removed sellotape to reverse, and also small missing section to front lower margin.
