Embossed illustration of blacksmith shoeing horse on front is excellent and well preserved, as is maroon cloth. Interior is clean with a broken front hinge which is nearly separated. Text is absolutely mark-free. Prior owners name (George Colter, December 27, 1916) is on inside front cover. Some interior pages have light bumps to corners. Presumed first edition.
