Cette étude avait déjà fait l'objet de publications partielles dans "L'Artiste" de 1877, mais l'impression inédite et complète de ce travail est ici revue, corrigée et considérablement augmentée. Cette monographie est consacrée à l'étude topographique des métamorphoses territoriales du VIIIè arrondissement (ancien territoire et transformations successives; édifices et établissements publics).
